  • high ho, high ho…

we played in times square nyc the other night. absolutely amazing. my second favorite stop thus far on this tour. austin texas was tops but to help the new yorkers cope i must admit that being only an hour and half south of my home helped immensely. and to all the other stops i must say this, i love clubs. there’s just so much energy when people are crammed into a dingy space and start singing to god.

we’ve had three days off since then and chose to stay in the city. ny is one of a kind. i love it because there are so many good places to eat. i ate at the original palm restaurant yesterday which was a big highlight. i love the palm and to be sitting at 837 2nd ave with a big plate of mashed potatoes and filet was just perfect.

the rest of my time has been spent in the hotel writing. haven’t left much. just ordering room service and typing. quite nice…

  • Have you ever read “Velvet Elvis” by Rob Bell?  What are your thoughts on it?  I know I’m behind the curve because I just now started reading it, but I have to say that it is a great, challenging read so far.  If you haven’t had the chance to read it yet, I think you would like it.

  • You’re writing another book?!?  I absolutely loved Praise Habit!!  Yay!!

  • Haha! NYC!!!! YEAH! Glad you’re enjoying the city!

  • writing?
    ….as in a new book perhaps?…

  • i think you should write a story about squirrels. on a journey for the Bronze Acorn.

    it would be quite entertaining.

  • u rock harder than Ronald Reagan!!!!

  • Hey, I don’t know if you ever read the bajillion comments on your site, but I was wondering if you’d consider capitalizing when you refer to God. I know your heart’s in the right place, but I know you won’t have a problem showing respect for the Creator we give utmost reverence to with this simple act. I’m a big fan, and I love that you give us brothers and sisters in Christ such skillful and fresh songs to experience the Most High with. God bless…

  • ah, my home state, although not the city.  I miss NY- I live in the Adirondacks, but currently here in the flatlands of Ohio, Cedarville University.  You guys played for us awhile ago.  fun stuff.  hope you’re still having an awesome time, enjoy those mashed potatoes…

  • I hate hotel rooms.

  • that’s pretty sweet

  • OH! NY! I miss it! It sounded like you had a good time in Central Park and at the Palm. The food sounds great.

  • you’re coming to my place tomorrow – Charleston, WEST VIRGINIA!! Hate to say, I can’t be there ’cause I’m away at school, but oh boy, my heart will be there. 2 loves of my life in terms of music are DCB and Third Day… and when they’re combined that’s even better. i LOVE your music and i will miss hearing you tomorrow! God bless!!

  • Room service is sweet, but I think hotel rooms are too sterile. Bleah…

  • will you play at my concert

  • missed your concert this time around (tragically sold out), but glad you came back to nyc! where else did you go to eat??

  • livin’ it up in the big apple, eh?  take a bite for me, will ya?

  • good evening

    ~pucik

  • Hey, I’m a soldier currently in Iraq.  Jus’ sayin’ hi an’ I bought your CD.  Heh heh heh…  I like that song “Indescribable.”  Haven’t listened to the whole CD yet, but sometimes they sing it at church.  At night, I say a prayer before headin’ in the hootch…  an’ when I look at the sky, I think of that song an’ how HOOAH God is.

  • enjoy your room service!  whoo, nyc.. nice. =D

  • come to hong kong

  • hhehehe i love hotels…:)

  • can’t wait to see you on Good Friday in ATL!!!

  • I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed seeing you on the 3D tour! I have been at the Lynchburg, Vegas, Florence and Hampton shows. I will be in Greensboro on Saturday too. Looking forward to a wonderful end to an awesome tour!! And keep writing. I’m about half way through Praise Habit and I love it!

See you from the front row Saturday!

    ~Wendy~ (SirMax Gomer)

  • oh can’t wait to read or hear what you are writing!  such a good writer you are.

    yoda.

  • I like the White Stripes.

I’m glad you’re writing again. Though I have no clue what this book will be about, it is sure to be entertaining and thought-provoking. Who knows, maybe there’ll be some nunzilla thrown in somewhere…

  • Hay Dave! I just want to tell you how much I love your songs. The words you sing are all the things my heart is crying out, but my lips just can’t find the words to say. I also love the way you sing. You don’t sing like someone from American Idol, or someone just putting on a show. You sing like the saved. I can hear the joy and love of the Lord flowing from your sprite, through your mouth then into my soul. I’ve been having a hard time listening to all creatures with out wanting to cry. In the end I just want you to know that you really do make a difference in other people’s lives. You’re not just a singer; you’re an inspiration to be all that God has made us to be.

If you ever stop by Los Angeles you should take a tour of the L.A. Dream Center.

  • glad you had a good time in NYC. I haven’t been there since the summer before 9/11 I think.
seems so long since I saw you guys in concert, first show, February 16th, Fairfax, VA.
have a great rest of the tour. :)

  • If you ever stop by Dothan, AL, you should take a tour of my house. (that’s a joke, of course.)

  • I look forward to seeing you down in the ATL.  It’ll be great.  My little brother is so excited to see you in concert.  We were at FITS 05.  I wish I could go back, I graduated.  I love your music, see you in ATL.

    Laura

  • I just Bought the Passion 06 CD….started reminiscing…as a Volunteer for Passion that was the most Awesome time I have ever had…I worked in the Handicapped/Wheel-Chair/Strollers/Pregnant Women and where Louie’s Mom kept sitting section, and I have so many awesome awesome memories of Students Worshipping, Volunteers Worshipping, and then a moment where you sang “We Win”….and the song kicks in with …..”And he set me on Fire……….but I knew I was in Heaven with……”You are my Joy, You are my Joy, You are my Joy, You are my Joy! (I saw myself skipping as fast as possible running through Heavenwith arms stertched wide…no pain, no sadness only LOVE)  David thank you so much for your Obedience…I hope I may meet you again…Thanks again for the 2minutes in Nashville(Picture and Hello) Please put me and my Church on your prayer list…GOD knows the rest!

Psalm 95: 1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.  3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.  5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. 6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; 7 for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,  as you did that day at Massah in the desert,

  • Are ya keepin’ your weight checked, Bro?  You may have to reconfigure the load on the bus, you know?  How much longer are you going to be in the city anyway?  40 or 50 lbs?

all the best for your show tonight.

by the way – there’s nothing more inspirational, for me at least, than sitting somewhere spending some time alone. hotels are no exception – the best of songs/poems/stories come out of the most unexpected places…

  • you rock

  • dude your putting out a new cd called B Collision?!!?! anything new gonna be on it? or is it just going to be like, all the songs on A Collision in a new spiffy form?

  • NYC is the best city in the world!!

  • Suggestions for much needed improvement to the whole David Crowder thing:

    1. Better merch. I don’t get the squirrel/rhino thing. And the tatoos aren’t available anymore, at least not at NYC.
    2. I was going to suggest peronal grooming advice, but that is being addressed at growyourcrowder.com. If I could buy some of that other hair, that would also add to my experience. But, the chin is no problem.
    3. Downloadable instruction videos. Free sheet music for DCB worship music on the net is way cool and that is fur shure. However, I have been listeing for a while and I say with confidence that we are dealing here not with mere three chord wonders, which is the way it is drawn up on pixels.
    4. Long DCB shows. WIth all due respect to Third Day, I was feelin it in a big way in NYC, and “all things in moderation” is not a principle I value highly in worship. Plus, more time would allow for more of that old DCB, which is us too awesome for me to be the only one playing it live.
    5. Some Blue grass DCB, I was going to say. [Isn't that wierd, its like you read my mind or we have the same kind of aura or something?]
