we were just notified of this….
msn artist of the month voting…
first i must say that, “i’m completely astounded.” second i must say, “please go vote.” i realize voting for a band such as ours is a strange and awkward thing, and i hesitate to ask, but i’m certain it would generate some attention from folks normally uninterested and possibly bearing pessimistic opinions regarding music of this nature. it’s just not everyday we can have a voting contest, pitting busta rhymez vs the crowder band. and we must take advantage, yes? it shall be fun and rewarding. so i humbly ask that you click the link and vote and then forward to your friends and family, of course requesting they help you crush mr. busta as well. we love mr. busta dearly, but he has a burgeoning film career and we do not.

just in case you might be interested in some thoughts of one who has been ministered to by the A collision songs, here is some of what is running through my head at the moment. the other night i sat in a chair feeling intensely frustrated because of my lack of vision and focus for the here and now. sometimes when God puts us in a place where He is only revealing Himself on a moment by moment basis, our human frailties give us trouble when trying to plan the next step, the one immediately in front of us. yet, isn’t this the Christian journey defined? one’s desire to simply be obedient, to follow where He leads should be of the utmost priority. last night i was reminded of the story of Moses. why did God lead him all the way into the desert to present Him with a burning bush? it was to help Moses understand the concept of “I AM” and that it doesn’t matter WHERE you are, “I AM” is there and the ground on which one is standing is holy ground. “Take off your shoes!” I have begun to wonder if my commitment to God is really the kind of commitment that is willing to follow, to work, to live, to glorify God wherever I am, or if I’ve just been very content to follow when the road led me high up through the mountains on a great adventure of faith. is not the trip down through the valleys and back out again also a great holy journey? today God is telling me to take off my shoes. the ground on which i stand is holy ground.

Being in possession of my own 1/4 crowder on the bottom of the chin, I voted not only on musical quality but style points. Nelly Furtado is a beautiful woman and Buster has a very commendable set of dred locks. But the Crowder is the wave of the future. In fact, for many a bald worshipping Crowder fan, that glorified body is going to have a full Crowder!

This is a little off topic what everyone else is commenting about… but it’s about an issue in Germany, with sex trafficking. There’s more than 40,000 women being forced into prostitution at the World Cup outside of the stadium. You can read more about it on one of my friend’s xanga. I was hoping you could somehow get the word out to other people to sign a petition to stop this… It’s going around on a lot of other xangas, but I thought if you could help, all these people could help out as well if they didn’t know about it.

Okay, so I admit that I’m a little slow but I just bought my first David Crowder Band cd. (A Collision) I knew I liked what I’d heard of y’all before yesterday but I didn’t know how MUCH I liked you until I bought this cd. I can’t wait for more. Well, I must say that I found it quite discoraging yesterday to see David get in line for, ride, and exit the Superman rollercoaster at Six Flags over Georgia all while I remained in the same spot in line. However, it has now become apparent that anyone with the ability to make it on the same poll as Busta deserves such treatment. It was also encouraging to know that, even under the harsh conditions of such a coaster as the Superman, the crowdster does not lose shape or form in the least.
So, congratulations- for the msn thing, but mostly for the stability of your facial hair.

B Collision is amazing, I just aquired a copy and I absolutely love it. I was at the Kansas concert track 6 and 7 were recorded from and it really warmed my heart to hear that section again and brought me back to a better place. God bless.
