correction
it seems there was some confusion as to whether or whether not THE NUGE came by the barn. so to quell the furor, yes, THE NUGE did in fact stop by to play on the recording. we have included a “clip of the day” for each day of the recording. simply go here to observe THE NUGE in his natural habitat. click the “clip of the day”.
today i recorded acoustics for “everything glorious” and mike d worked on piano for “never let go” and “oh the glory of it all.” hogan put down a part for “rain down” that is just monstrous. it is huge i say! i need to get vocals going. still not quite there. i’ve been taking musinex nonstop today, well, at least just barely over the recommended dosage. not sure if it’s helping.

this whole process is amazing to me. how you guys can just sit in a living room (if that’s what you call that part in the barn…) and throw some stuff down and have it come out as something so extraordinary is beyond my comprehention!
i’m really loving the clip of the day feature, and must say that i have fallen into the pattern of checking the web cams every time i happen to walk by my computer…

Hm… when I have a lot of phelgm in my throat, i usually gargle my throat with salt water. it helps bring it down.

HEY THERE, this site and the clips are awesome, and they’ve STIRRED up something inside me. See, I am in a stage of life where I can get up and randomly travel far away just for fun, to places like say TX for example. So I thought I’d go out on a limb and ask you all if I could drive on down to where you’re recording and hang out for a day(yes, I’m serious). I’m pretty skinny so I wouldn’t be in the way;) I could take you all out for lunch or ice cream or for a kiboab(spelling?) or two. Anywho, there’s no reason I should deserve to get to do this, but I just thought it was a crazy idea and I might as well wing it and see what you think. clknowles, aidje – here is how the confusion erupted. i stated on monday, the 26th, that THE NUGE would be stopping by around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. he did. it was the best day ever. on tuesday the 27th i stated that the nuge did not stop by making the 27th a less fantastic day than the 26th. you took it to mean that THE NUGE did not stop by at all. however, if you would have watched the clip of the day for the highlights from the 26th, it would have proved undeniably that THE NUGE did in fact arrive on the 26th and bring the rock with him.
lukelengl – no. “never let go” is not the matt redman, “never let go.” think of it as, “crazy”, written by gnarls barkley, aerosmith, keven federline, willie nelson (popularized by patsy cline), seal, simple plan, snoop dog, and there’s of course, “(you drive me) crazy” by brit. all very different songs, same title.
i was having my daily dose of video feeds from the barn, and guess what i saw? you! back on the computer it looked like – good to see maybe the mucinex is working a little?
have you tried a saline nasal spray? it usually drains your nose in 5 seconds. you seriously need to be standing over a sink or holding a bucket when you spray that junk up in your head.
Okay – got it. Since I’m not watching the daily clips, nor the web-cams, but only reading the e-mail notes - thanks for the explanation/clarification. I just thought you were overdoing the cold medicine – it can happen – I’ve done it. Those cold medicines can be wicked. If you start to hear a ringing telephone, or a buzzing doorbell sound, every ten minutes – Believe me, cut back on the dosage… C.L. Knowles
oh ok. y’all have covered matt redman’s songs very well (undignified is really awesome). if i would have stopped and listened to the clip of the day, i would have realized that you were singing “never let go”, and it didn’t sound anything like matt redman’s song with the same title. the album is sounding really good.
by the way…i watched the music video for “foreverandever”…HAHA. AWESOME! will y’all ever put it up on youtube or something, cause the media player at msn wouldn’t play it all the way through for me.
Did you know that your video of “Foreverandever” on msn.com, has been put up in competition with 7 other videos for best music video -there is a voting poll -it must have just started because you are at 72%, but there are only 40 voters so far that have responded to the voting poll - So they must have just put it up recently. i definitely thought that was the nuge in the video from…two? three days ago? no importa. this new record is gonna rock my face off. but you knew that already, i suppose…
drink room temperature water with a lemon slice squeezed in it before you sing … that usually cuts through some of the gunk
so… this is really random… but I’m sitting here looking at the cams and you’re just sitting there hanging out… the music is sounding great on Youtube… can’t wait to hear the whole thing…
