    things that are free:

    1. registering as a guest on this model train site – the whistle post

    2. starting a petition – i.e.

    3. looking at stuff. unless it’s something you have to pay to look at, like a statue, or a certain part of the country side that has been designated as you needing to pay to look at it, like all of the really cool parts, like the grand canyon and stuff – something cool you have to pay to see

    4. a song from the new live dvd/cd that we have posted on davidcrowderband.com

  • thanks for sharing. Sorry this isn’t some amazing comment.

  • this may seem irrelevant to the freeness of your new free song, but it isn’t irrelevant to the song itself.

i recently attended a musical festival of sorts in a place called odessa, texas. there was a gentleman on the main stage there who informed everyone his name was not hawk helson, but rather, jason. regardless, he then took out something strange: a controller for the popular “guitar hero” game. then he played it! i thought it interesting. i have many reasons as to why i think this is interesting, which i will not list here because of space and because they are only speculations about the kind of controller he used and the kind of controller it would take to manage a midi map. less relevant and more interesting, however, was observing his friends. somehow, perhaps using magic or witchcraft, they sang harmony along with jason though they were nowhere near microphones. in fact, they were spinning guitars and basses around their shoulders (without missing notes, i might add). these are talented guys, i tell you. i just wonder — have you and your friends taken any inspiration from this “jason” and his friends hawk and nelson?

  • “Free”. Few words sound better to my ears than that.

Free as in, “I am free from sin!”
Free as in, “we are offering “..neverending..” off of the live cd/dvd for free!”

Thanks for brightening up my day! LA, LA, LAAA, LAAAA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LAAAAAAAAAAA! :)

Can’t wait till my preorder comes in!

    yours truly,

    - justin.

  • I bought Remedy at Creation East-enjoyed worshipping with your band

    John

  • Free, God’s grace, His mercy… His wonderfull presence…. free from condemnation….. His Spirit’s gentle voice, the way He works in us through words written to worship Him….the way my heart is moved, to confess, or to praise…. how I am before His throne, FREE!!

this download is another free that moves me to say ” GLORY!!” and while life is hourly a sorrow cloud near me……to give a sacrifice of Praise!!  Sweetness. Lord!!

I have been on a hike with God through the meandering lyrics, oftentimes on God’s beautiful Lake Superior’s North Shore, with A Collision in my ears, but deeper still, through my spirit.  Tis often been free-ing.  glad to say so.

  • You made it to the featured blogs section of xanga today! I got so excited when I saw your picture as I went to sign in!

  • Would you mind if I attempted to remix this into happy hardcore? Don’t worry, I can’t.

    Yet.

  • Sweet. Thank you!

  • 5. Growing an amazing beard.

Sometimes the best things come for free.

  • I <3 David Crowder Band!!!!! thanks!

  • Free: Pillsbury Cake Mix (18.25) oz. at Kroger…sah-weet!

  • Got the download code, put it on my pc, but it had no file to open??  Not sure why, just an FYI for you guys to check it out on your end.  I guess I’ll wait for the DVD.  Thanks, though

  • That’s okay, I’ll get it off eMule – that comes without being forced into giving you my e-mail address so you can spam me to death with news I don’t want to know about your tour dates etc etc etc…etc.

  • Nice Post.  Congrats on getting featured.  My new favorite free thing, building a family tree on Geni.com.  Thing that is not free but should be, swimming in the ocean in NJ, cost 7 dollars at Point Pleasant.

  • @ a_life_bizarre –

    That was rude.

For the record, I have never received any spam from dc*b. I find it sad that you assume that their acts of generosity towards their fans must have an ulterior motive.

  • Yes, the North West folks (Seattle for me) would like see this phenomenon of wonderfulness as well… Wyoming??? But not Washington??? Ouch! What can we do change a date and get the DCB* extravaganza up here? I know I don’t want to miss the 12ft facial hair… Rad! I do have lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of love for Wyoming… ~Fan

  • @a_life_bizarre - stealing is a sin. repent quickly and turn from your wicked ways. remember well your rudeness and this your comment left to me when next your coffee comes back without the extra hot you ordered. or when your shoelace breaks off in your hand. let it be known, you have brought this upon yourself.

  • Gotta love the CD/DVD cover

  • hey, the gift of salvation is free too. can’t believe you forgot to mention that one. hahaha =D

  • I like this…one of my favorite freebie sites is CnetDownloads.com…they have music(most of it new and unheard and some really darned good) software, freeware and such forth…great advice and reviews…

  • @endoftheroadj - that’s easily debatable.

  • I’m not gonna lie, I pre-ordered the cd/dvd because yall tempted me with the surprise goodies!! Who can resist Christmas in August?!?!?!

    I am so excited and I cannot wait!!It’s only 6 dayz away…

  • love it!  can’t wait until my dvd comes!

  • Free songs make me happy! Thanks for the heads up!

  • I love free, but I already preordered the CD/DVD, so it is not so free as I have already paid for the song ;)

Although, my version will have lovely pictures of amazing people singing/playing the songs! And I will not have to go to a theater to see such huge pictures as I have a “theatre” right in my home. Yes, my dad  decided he wanted a 144″ screen and HD projector downstairs, so we painted the room a dark color, and there you have it! I am sure I will enjoy it thoroughly.

When should I expect to recieve my lovely preordered CD/DVD set? Tomorrow is the day, but will I recieve mine tomorrow?

    Sarah

  • Hey!  I went and saw the DVD playing at the theater. It was awesome!!  Great DVD. I had high expectations I must say but it was better than I thought. I’ll definitely be buying it pretty quickly.  Just thought I’d stop by and tell you it was awesome and it was so cool seeing it on the big screen!!

  • just got back and loved it!!!

  • Story time:

We’re in the theater in OKC last night and 7:00 rolls around. The movie screen turns green (kind of Remedy green), this weird opera music starts playing, and then we see the band and you’re all a pinkish-purple color. It was basically the effect of a photo negative, only green and pinkish-purple. We all thought it was cool and edgy until the pink dc*b started playing and singing and yet we were still just hearing the opera music, then we realized that it was screwed up. Luckily, 15 minutes and free popcorn passes for everyone later, the kind theater people were able to fix whatever was wrong and we watched and listened to the concert in all it’s non-pink and green, non-opera gloriousness. I wish I’d have gotten a picture of the pink and green dc*b because it really was kinda cool and I’m assuming not everyone got to see that effect. It was well worth the long, rainy drive. I can’t wait to go home this evening and listen to my new CD.

  • David you sent me.  THanks for everything.

    Matt

  • Cha, ching – I’ll cash in on free.

  • D’Crowder Crew’s tracks are awesome in the studio, but there is something more when you listen to them live…awesome…awesome…awesome…awesome…

  • Love the favorite comment. I am 45 and my husband is almost 54 and we were listening to the CD on our vacation on the East Coast this past 15 days. I have a request. I love the packaging of the CD, is there any chance in the future when you do packaging you could include DCB paper dolls? My 6 year old wants some.
