  • I need to. thanks for the reminder.

  • you did the responsible thing sir.

  • The most in-depth, sophisticated blog post…ever.

  • super duper!

  • An example to us all, yessir!

  • I like the early voting process. I voted last week here in Chapel Hill. I feel so accomplished with myself, like I’m actually contributing to society in a way that I never was able to before. It’s nice.

Thank you for voting and acting on your civil right..or responsibility…or could it possibly be both?

  • Props! I had plans to do that when it opens this coming weekend here…but it seems my weekend has been commandeered. So, I guess it’s long voting lines for me.

And…off the subject entirely…I was at a coffee shop yesterday and heard the song “Secret Ambition” playing. After a moment, I stopped in my tracks and asked the barista, “What a second…is that David Crowder Band covering it?” Judging by her reaction, I deserved a Christian music dork stamp. I was unaware of your cover of said song…but it made my day, regardless of a midly socially awkward moment.

  • yay for civic duty! i mailed in my absentee ballot today.

  • Go Crowder!

Just one thing, though. What happened to eTV?

  • I just got my ballot. Need to find a notary person.

  • I wish I could vote.

  • Did the Crowdster vote too?

  • yay i don’t have to..i Live in Aus :D

  • who’d you vote for?

….hey, it was bound to be asked

  • does this mean you are in america?

    i’m mailing you something!

  • When I saw your post ,Crowder, I have to admit the above question was what first came to my mind.  Secondly, I kind of like the idea of voting on election day even if I have to stand in the long lines.  Thirdly and most importantly, where in the world is the eTV and chat?!? And can you bring it back?!  Your friend – Betsy

  • David Crowder… I have a confession to make… To you, and to the whole world

    I stole a CD.
And this wasn’t just any CD… This was one of YOURS… I feel terrible, but I felt I simply had no choice. See, this wasn’t one of those CD’s you can pick up at the local music store or off iTunes. This was, if I am remembering correctly, a CD recorded in Portland (University Baptist Church, if I’m not mistaken) which they entitled “Pour over me.”  While the sound quality of it wasn’t as great as I’m sure Remedy Live is (I still haven’t gotten around to getting that one… More shame…. ), all of the David Crowder-ness was there, in all it’s glory.  And thus, I felt compelled to pressure my friend, who owns it legally, to rip it for me, seeing no other way of aquiring it but to drive to Portland and buy it there, a task which seemed all but impossible, for I live in Ontario.  And so, Mr.Crowder and the band, fellow drummer Bwack… I implore you all… Forgive this crime of mine and don’t hold it against me and my undying adoration for the way you all love God through your audio compact disks.
I will send you the grand total cost of the cd, including tax, whatever it might be, if you so desire…
    Yours sincerly
    Ummm… Cool name someone….

  • I am going to vote today too. I vote that you bring back empriseTV.

What happened? How are we buddies going to sporadically reunite without it?  Friendships have been forged and romances begun in this forum. This is tragic. Is there any way to bring it back? Pretty please? We would appreciate it greatly.

  • I second SenoraLaura!

  • I’m waiting till the very last millisecond

  • how does one vote early??????

  • another thing we have in common!

  • I just have to say two things: way to go on the voting and what in the world happend to your page? I waited anxiously for over a month for you to blog and when I was directed to your page, it had all changed. I’m sure that you’ll get enough requests to change it back… or not, after all, it IS YOUR page. Do with it what you like.

  • went to iTunes and downloaded secret ambition, guess I am a dork too, but I already knew that…

  • i mailed in my absentee ballot today from TAIWAN ;)

  • yay! pride for the american patriotism.

  • you know it was going to be asked:

who’d you vote for? though, if you’re from texas, i have a pretty good guess.

  • I hope I get my ballot in the mail – I’m in Japan right now… actually I went to Passion Tokyo and got a picture taken with you God bless!

  • @WeaponG - that is one of the more beautiful things i’ve seen. thank you. i freaking love wayne. heroic.

  • I voted last week…only I can’t tell you who I voted for.  However, I am supporting Chuck Baldwin of the constitution party.

  • So here I am again the old guy that left a message several months ago. From what started with a cd of downloads from my son, my DC collection has grown to all of them. If I was to choose a favorite i couldn’t, so don’t ask. I play both guitar and banjo so I get a little crazy with Collision B cause that has some really nice banjo stuff. I try to stay away from bluegrass twang so I got the back side of the head on mine stuffed with batting. It has a pick up and I run it through a processor sometimes – pretty funky. Anyway love your music.

  • I’m voting for Pedro.

  • Awesome show tonight at Cedarville.  It’s not easy to get a bunch of Baptists riled up, but you pulled it off pretty well.

  • To the guy that posted about the cd…Crowder still goes to and leads worship at University Baptist Church where that first cd was recorded except it’s in Waco, Texas – not Portland!

  • got my absentee ballot mailed out friday. takes me days to vote as the voter’s pamphlet seems to get bigger and bigger. trying to get through all bio’s on every candidate for all the offices and dealing with all the “for and against” arguments on all the initiatives and charter amendments. still, even with all the reading and time involved, it’s still pretty cool that i have the right to do it.

  • DAVID! POST MORE OFTEN!!! i’ll see you in chicago this friday!

  • @yo -

I suppose I could be mistaken, but I’m fairly certain my friend said Portland, and his brother, who was the owner of the original CD, is going to school in Portland… So I would think that it was a church out in Portland… Hmm.. Google time… Lets see what turns up…
I got nothing on a University Baptist Church in Portland… So either I had the wrong name, or I’m extremely confused on the location… So you’re probably right…

  • WHY must Obama still support a group with Racist Roots?  What I say here is found in books that anyone can find on the Internet (http://www.amazon.com or http://www.bn.com) or rare bookstores.  Do you realize that many women are supporting a group whose founder spoke highly of the Nazis’ practices and teachings in the 1930s and 1940s, and who wrote books with racists wordings and ugly eugenics practices, such as getting rid of those kids who were deformed or had genetic problems?

What group and founder are I talking about?  Let me give you some idea what this founder wrote in her books (yes, she is a woman).  This female founder refers to people who are epileptics, feeble-minded, blind, deaf, mute, etc. as:

–> “…this dead weight of human waste…” that is “…the terrific cost to the community…”

This female says, “‘Constructive’ Eugenics…shows us that we are paying for and even submitting to the dictates of an ever increasing, unceasingly spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all…”

    Lovely, isn’t it?

And then she refers to these problem people this way:

–> “Every single case of inherited defect, every malformed child, every congenitally tainted human being brought into this world is of infinite importance to that poor individual; but it is of scarcely less importance to the rest of us and to all of our children who must pay in one way or another for these biological and racial mistakes.”

She also said that large families should kill some of their children so as to save “resources” for others.

How about this idea which is similar to the Nazis’ propaganda during the 1930s?

–> “On its scientific side, Eugenics suggest the reestablishment of the balance between the fertility of the “fit” and the “unfit.” “

In one of her publications, a magazine review, persons sympathetic to the Nazis’ practices and even German Nazis themselves wrote articles for her.  In other documents, she refers to the supremacy of the white race over the other races.  Isn’t great that she wrote side-by-side with those Nazis?

What are these books and materials to which I refer?

    “The Pivot of Civilization”

    “Woman and the New Race”

    “The Birth Control Review”

Who is the author of this trash?
Who is this supporter of the Nazi eugenic practices?

    MARGARET SANGER
    Founder of PLANNED PARENTHOOD

Do people think that Jewish women are blind to Margaret Sanger’s promotion of racial eugenics?  Let me quote something from her that both she and Planned Parenthood standby:

–> “By education, by persuasion, by appeals to racial ethics and religious motives, the ardent Eugenicist hopes to increase the fertility of the “fit.” “

Planned Parenthood refers to her as a Woman of Valor.  Do you like that term?  Not all of us women are now blind to what Planned Parenthood is doing to women all over the world.  Are you?

AND note also that the Gay / Lesbian Groups ALL support Planned Parenthood WITHOUT any reservations also!

a woman who was deceived and attacked by Planned Parenthood and who also lost relatives in the Holocaust, thanks to Margaret Sanger

  • well done dc. this election year was extra special; government should be for the people and by the people. democracy is a beautiful thing.
