i’m sorry.
not that you’re hanging out, waiting for a new blog to show up, but i really am feeling more than a small amount of guilt considering the last thing i posted was so long ago, and such a useless bit of nothing to boot! i offer defense – we’ve (myself, and the band) been crazy busy working on pre-production for the next recording. i state, unironically, that this is the most excited i’ve ever been about the song writing process. it has genuinely been so much fun! but, it dawns on me that a number of you good people, who read this blog, would be of great value in a season such as this. yes! so, i’m asking a very large favor, and one that i believe could make a very large difference in what we assemble. and so, i humbly ask that you, if you be so inclined, beseech the good lord on our behalf – that creativity would flow in abundance, that words and tonalities would emerge that are surprising and helpful and beneficial to our collective involvement in the story of god. it would be a very large encouragement to have such a breath behind our efforts.
much, much gratitude,
david

first! asian stalker!
now for a real comment: can’t wait for the new album! you guys rock!
No problem. I love writing songs, I hear them in my head at night and write them down when I wake up. God is so awesome in His ability to inspire. I will pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you with an abundance of annointed melodies that the world has never even dreamed of, all of which would pave the way for an unprecidented movement…a generation of Dancing and Singing Praises to the King of Kings.
ill be praying 4 u all
the words “pre-production for the next recording” just made me do a happy dance whilst sitting in my desk chair
no matter how long it may be since that last blog, that just made up for it!
you guys are totally in my prayers; take care and stay well!(everyone around here is sick!!!)

You got it, big daddy.
You know we will.
Of course I will pray. =)

Thank you for asking us to do that. That’s something that I just so happen to be fairly passionate about. In fact, when I almost met you a few years ago, I was hanging around to ask you that very question.
Absolutely!
I will most definitely be praying! I’m totally stoked you guys are making new music!
Cool stuff! I look forward to what happens.
Absolutely!

ooh i’ll definitely be praying! =) Thank you for being so humble in asking!
Speaking of tonalities, yall should do a song in Phrygian. Or Locrian. That would be surprising, to say the least.
I already DO pray for your creativity, your energy, and strength, and safetyevery day. So now I’ll focus more on the creativity. Thanx for the opportunity…kaishinkwow
Yeeees! Great news! New song, new life flowing from your songs! I’m definitely praying for you guys. I now that this is not only about perfect beats and sounds, but is all about His name and His glory!
Lisa, from Brasil Sao Paulo.
YAY for new songs! I will definitely keep you guys in my prayers. your songs have been a blessing in my life, and hopefully you guys can be a blessing to much more of the world.

i like how you ask for prayer from strangers but the Body of Christ nonetheless. of course! and this next album will be bc God made it great! how awesome is that?
How wonderful! An update and news of another album! You and the band are in my prayers, for sure. =)
“beneficial to our collective involvement in the story of god.” – what a great request, I’m all in!
You guys are always in my prayers, that the Lord keep not only you but those that stay home when you’re on the road. We’ll ask the Lord gives you the message needed in this particular times, as He always does, and unique circumstances that surround us all.
Just to know that a new CD is coming is good news, but to get involved in it by praying makes it BETTER!!
dave,
don’t know if you read this anymore. but if you do, this is troy (shirts guy). the one who is in remission with cancer. yeah, that one.
okay, i have written some songs the past year through my cancer journey. what would you suggest for getting them noticed? i think there may be some goodness in them that others can relate to but i don’t know how to send them to folks or even who to send them to.
suggestions?
troy guthrie

Hey dude, thanks for hanging out in Phx, appreciate your heart. My buddy Johnny thought it was the greatest thing ever to be back stage hanging with David Crowder =]. Anyways, this is the song that makes me think of you most =], hope it inspires something.

C.J.
yes i shall pray! woot woot woot! =D
I’m always amazed when I’m amazed to find prayer works… so, I shall pray for you! Then, when the album ends up being the crowning achievement of you and the bands collective creativity I’ll probably find myself somewhat amazed again! Either I’m really slow, or God is really amazing… or both.
So honored to pray for you to our wonderful king. I was just thinking the other day how happy God must be with you guys singing and performing for His Glory Alone. So excited about the new album.
praying in New Brunswick!
so mark’s rumor of recording this spring may be true after all!!
prayers will go for you.
Will do.
I am very excited and happy to hear about a new project. One thing at a time, though. I am MORE excited about HotHearts this weekend! You’re playing “Revolutionary Love,” right? ‘Cause I’ve asked, like a hundred times! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Consider yourself beseeched for by a friend from down the road at Antioch CC!
Grace and Peace,
Colton
Father, let the DCB tell Your story in away that brings You great glory and is complete joy for the listener!!! Let them sing songs that reveal Your glory and set the captives FREEEE INDEED!!!!
The fact that you are seeking prayer and petitions from your listeners to help you write and be creative in showing God’s love is so humbling! Keep this verse in mind and you’ll know God’s love so much more…
“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:19-20
If you sing and make music in your heart, your songs will reflect that.
I wait with bated breath for this incredible undertaking to blossom to fruition.
Our prayers are with you guys! I have the utmost faith that God is guiding the entire process going into ya’lls’ next album! What you guys have blessed us with up to this point is nothing short of miraculous, but it is not for us! It has been for God! Your music is used by God on a daily basis to bring people closer to Him and I know every time I rock out to any of ya’lls’ albums I worship and praise God Almighty! I thank God for His word and using you guys as messengers!

How about a song that speaks to those serving in ministry that are struggling with their own guilt, hypocrisy, or fear of failure in ministry? Or maybe even burnout?
I think a song to encourage those that God is still with them, that God still forgives, and that God can still use them would be a great encouragement to the church. Something to renew them would be awesome.
Haha sound pretentious enough to think that a song could do that? I don’t. I believe that you can do it man. Go for it!
Hey DCB,
MY wife and I caught you play at parachute NZ and it was all rock and roll. Your songs, arrangement and lyrics are mean (that means awesome down here)
Hope you get to play here again. Look forward to the new album
