so, i'm certain you've seen the video of the band sonseed by now, but if you haven't, you need to go to youtube and type in 'jesus is my friend' and have your life changed.
last sunday ben, my friend that i reference here on occasion, showed the video during the announcements at our church, ubc. the set up was too tempting, so, instead of listening to the sermon (yes, i know), we (the band) gathered in ben's office around his computer learning this life changing song. we thought it a fitting benediction. church music is cool. here is the resulting youtube:
thank you for the epic piece. i just wrote a morbid entry and i almost simultaneously fell on this clip and felt it perfectly appropriate to juxtapose/dichotomize (sp?) my entry w/ this clip (AND the original!)
awesome
you guys are awesome!!!
i can imagine you doing your signature "echo pointing" to this song... and yes, church music is cool!
you taught me how to save my soul. I am forever indebted. thank you from the bottom of my heart.
a comment (or two) about the sonseed video: 1) that keyboard looks suspiciously like one of the keyboards bwack was credited with making in an earlier post. is there something we should know? 2) is that kip from napoleon dynamite on the guitar? i think it is...
david,
if you ever perform this song again, will you please dance like the guitarist in the original video?(see 0:09 - 0:23 on the original video)thanks, bryant

He is like a Mountie, he always gets his man!
DUUUUDE! You HAVE to put this on your next album. PLEASE!?!?!???
Life would be just a little bit better if everyday we collectively (and spontaneously) bursted into this song. Think about the possibilities.
Sweet. lol. That was awesome. Im loving the song.
ZAP! That was my favorite part.
You guys were awesome for skipping the sermon and working up that little number for the surprise benediction. -Barry

YEEEESSSS.... DC*B does it again! I agree... This should go on the next album of David Crowder Band goodness...
Oh, and this post taught me not only that church music is cool, but that your drummer is left-handed! Weirdness... He needs to get that fixed... Screws with my drumming patterns...
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I'm in class here in seminary, and we all loved the original video. Now we're taking a break from class and watching this. Beautiful.
nice stuff!
in other news.. i finally got remedy. great CD. I especially like the title song, and am attempting to learn it.so far i found about 4 chords that seem to work with it off of a tab site. d:- )
ps take care.
You rocked my world before, but now, wow.
I would like to see a full version music video of this song with era clothing, shag rugs and all. :)
