  • awaiting my preorder here in CA… i’ve bought each of y’alls albums twice, except for the lime cd and sunsets and sushi. my car got stolen with all your cd’s in it. that same car got stolen again and guess what they took? all the cds except for all i can say which was hidden away somewhere. so i guess those albums will be bought a third time =P can’t wait to hear this one. i hope i only have to buy it once, but i think i will be more than willing to buy it again.

  • I got the CD today! I liked how you said in your CD that this is your xanga. By the way, I’ve been reading, “Praise Habit” and I love it. Your daily routine thing cracked me up, and when you were holding your breath through the tunnel was so funny. I’ve been struggling with my quiet times latley, acutally doing them and also getting something out of it, so reading your book has been good. Also I’ve been taking christian songs that I like and typing up the words and like disecting it. Looking up verses that go with it, applying the song to me, etc. Your songs have been some of them! Oh, I saw you at FITS and it was awesome. We have a picture of you with our youth group and everyone in the youth group has a copy! Keep up the good work. ~Jennifer~

Hey i dont think you will actually read this but if you do thats awesome….well I go to prestonwood Baptist Church and you played at our church camp a while back….well there were two kids who spiked their hair up and jumped around right in front of you….well if you remember well i was one of those guys….I just wanted to say that you guys are awesome and i love what God is doing with your talents….and that you guys are an inspiration to alot of people…keep up the wonderful worship….and stay true….GOD IS AMAZING…..AND HE LOVES YOU!!!

  • WOW. David, this is great. I mean truly great. It’s worth all the time and energy you and countless others put into it. The CD has only left my CD player so I can put it in my car CD player and back….maybe I should just buy two copies so I don’t have to move it back and forth…but what if I go to a friend’s house and they don’t have it….who knew listening to such a good CD could be so hard. I guess I’ll have to suffer ;) keep up the amazing work, we all appreciate it.

  • I really enjoy your music because, unlike a lot of praise and worship leaders, you seem to really “get it”.  What it’s really about.  It’s not about having the newest, cutting-edge, “coolest” sounding music and instruments, it’s about giving God the glory that He is due.  God bless!

  • P.S. – That’s not to say that your music isn’t cool!  LOL…it’s simply that I have never really liked “praise” music until I heard yours.  I used to get the sense that all praise music was “performance centered”…that is until I picked up a copy of “Illuminate”.  You have opened up a whole new world to me because your music is first and formost “God-Centered”…and that comes through in your lyrics.

  • all i have to say is…wow.  awsome cd!! i was into the store today and saw it on the shelf and bought it, not knowing what was on it….and im sooo glad i did! im listening to it right now and im not even halfway through the cd and have loved every minute of it!! its the cd i’ve been looking for.  …and on the last page where you wrote about what the cd was about and such and had the quote you’ve been using to end your shows….veeery good stuff and worth the read.  great job on a great cd!  i’m very thankful i bought it.

  • Ok, so the most exciting thing for me as a sixsteps rep about your release was that all of my friends could finally buy their own CD instead of borrowing mine like they had been for the past 2 weeks…I was starting to miss it! But really, I couldn’t blame them for stealing it all the time, because it’s just that good. No surprise, really, coming from you guys. I mean, the CD itself is surprising, but its quality isn’t. Anyway, thanks again for getting the CD out to us reps, thanks for releasing it at my church, and I apologize again that I gave TD more press than you in the paper…it never crossed my mind that you would review my review! But, just to let you know, I put a picture of you guys in this week’s issue from the release concert and even put the address of the website to order the CD from in the caption. .   • Still waiting for my pre-ordered copy.  About $18.50 with shipping.  Just went to iTunes and got it for $9.99 with a bonus video.  That’s almost $30.00 for a CD.  Not cool.  But, Katrina happened, Rita happened, and I know that sometimes there’s nothing you can do about it.  So, it is all cool.    Anyway, my extra money spent can help cover the cost for those who still insist on stealing the music by ripping their friends’ CD’s.

  • The cd’s fantastic.  I never had any interest in bluegrass/country music until you decided to try some on A Collision.  Great stuff.  I love I Saw The Light.  Foreverandever, Etc. is great too.  If you have time, check out my xanga, I devoted most of my last entry to your new album.  God Bless!

  • Well in response to the guy who said that you guys sold out, I would say that that is poppycock.  the only song that I would even begin to maybe consider “selling out” is wholly yours.  And thats only because it has a “christian-contemp” sound.  But I love that song.  Which surprised me.  I don’t see how it is selling out.  I dont see how any of it is selling out.  And it is an improvement on the old.  As Chris Martin from coldplay said about their new album “X&Y”,”Instead of trying to re-invent the wheel, we improved ours by making it chrome and giving it 20 inch rims” ( or something like that)  And it seems you guys are riding on chrome 22′s with spinners.  I love all the music on this cd.  It is all so simple yet refreshing and original.  I mean I do not see how putting a blue grass song on your album constitutes as anything close to selling out.  I dont know what I am saying any more.  Just wanted to encourage you and say your stuff is great and God is using it, and if it is selling out, since mine is only an opinion and for all I know the above post could be correct and mine be incorrect, well then I think you guys are good and each album is its own great experience and one does not really stand above (maybe this one a little).  But each one has different songs for different moments in life and different awesome ways to respond to God.

  • DCB, you’ll probably never read this, but maybe you will. The album has such HEART, you know? So much passion that you can feel it in your gut and you just have to get up and dance. That’s the best way I know to describe it. Every instrument is being played and every note is sung in such a way that I know ya’ll gave it 110% on every measure. And it’s so creative!   • Oh my WORD!!!!! i’m not sure if you “know” him, but you may remember him from all the comments he leaves on here. well, anyways…MisterMick and i go to the same church (he’s 3 of my friends’ dad and my “adoptive father” …that’s a long inside joke of a story, but anyways…) and he LOANED MY YOUR CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you don’t know him personally but you are his absolute favorite and he’s so stinkin’ nice he lent me your cd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…for a WEEK. well, i know that he needs his david crowder, so i think i’ll return it on wednesday (he lent it to me sunday) because i’m sure he misses his cd. anyways, the whole reason he lent me the cd was to recruit me as a fan and i have to say that after listening to collision…I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please, if you have time, leave a big thanks on his xanga (he made two new fans of your music). I’m sure he would greatly appreciate it and it would make him very very happy. he’s too nice for his own good…that’s all i hafta say. oh yes, and besides the collision, he also loaned me illuminate and sunsets & sushi!!! i swear, i’m gonna buy them ASAP…i love your remix of no one like you!!!

  • So I don’t know what to adress you as, Mr. Crowder would be what my parents have taught me, but I have always refered to you as Crowder, so that is what I suppose I will adress this to, I don’t even know if you will read it.  Anyways I am writing this not to tell you how awesome the cd is, and how I am so glad you have choosen to use the gift God has given you in the way that you are, or to tell you that yeah the view from a plane rocks, but the view of a lighting storm from inside a plane is even better than the view in Guatemala, which by the way has better payapa then the pineapple in Haiwaii. So even though that is all true the real reason for writting this is to let you know how disapointed I am that you are going to play for my youth pastors, Rob, Melissa, and Brian, at the conference thingy they are going to and they aren’t taking me, Logan, their intern…You would think after all the work of filling worship sheets and cleaning that area behind the stage, you know where stuff piles up to the point you wonder if there is a floor, I mean you know there is one, but you wonder if it is like 6 feet under and you are really just standing on feet of junk.  I mean, you would think they would take me…but no, so I get to stay back, and continue to fill up trash bags of that junk behind the stage, as the listen to you and your band, and as they learn about how to be a better youth pastor.  So if you happen to have three people come up to you named Rob, Melissa, and Brian, do me a favor, and tell they how disapointed you are that they didn’t bring their intern…

  • This album takes me to another place.  God is so present an evident and feels so close like I could touch Him when I listen to it.  At times I want to scream and shout, “Halleluah’s” and dance, sometimes I want to fall to the floor in awe of Him.  Thank you for letting God use you!  I look so forward to the show with Shane and Shane in Michigan!

  • Thought I would distinguish myself from the 2 eprop group.  Honestly, I’d give it a 3 prop if I could.  It was one of 2 CD’s that I had been looking foward to for a long time (Switchfoot was the other) I even saved you a place in my alphabetized CD collection months before. :)

  • Why haven’t you updated since the release date? It’s getting boring/dissapointing going to your Xanga everyday and seeing the same post at the top. I understand you’re on tour, but come on, at least update once a week like Robbie Seay Band is doing on their website. and I know that the DCB site was updated a few days ago, but still.

    On a less disturbing note, though, haha, I’m excited about the concert at First Baptist Jackson next Wednesday. I shall be there early (if you guys need help with setup or anything I’d be happy to help), and I look forward to seeing you play (it’ll be my first time).   • I’m a volunteer with a church youth group in IN.  Over the last month or two, I have noticed that you have commented on the xanga’s of several of the students in our youth group.  I just wanted to take the time and thank you for that.  These kids get so excited and thrilled that you would do that kind of thing.

    Our kids are so into worshipping their God. The youth in our church have such a talent for music, and they are using it to edify their church, taking an active role on Sunday morning, and leading the worship service on Sunday night.  The ones who are muscians even entered into their high school battle of the bands and played worship music because they saw it as an opportunity to witness.  Even the ones who don’t get up and play instruments and sing have such a heart for worship and a desire to commune with our God. When I’m with these kids, I am constantly humbled by their willingness to bow before our God.  Its amazing.  I have worked with several different youth groups over the years, and I have never seen a group of students love to worship their God as much as the ones I’m with now.  It’s so amazing that God has allowed me to be part of this.

    But I want you to know, that even though you have never met these kids, you have been a part of this as well.  You have shown many of these students that it is fun to worship our God, and then you’ve taken them deeper.  Most of them have read your book, and have been challenged to make worship a daily habit in their lives.  Your music allowed brought them to a place of worship, and God has taken them beyond that.  I just wanted you to know.

  • I saw you for the TEXAS TRIFECTA tour in Little Rock, Arkansas a week ago today!!!  It was awesome!  I am thankful for the way that you express things in your lyrics.  A lot of times I feel the same way and only just discover that is how I feel when I listen to something like your music.  You describe those emotions so well, and I love to realize what I am feeling through something that someone else had done of great job of expressing.  It makes me want to do the same thing in a different media…art.  Again, I am thankful.

I saw you at Dare2Share at Columbus, and I still use a slightly modified version of Sing Like the Saved that throws Dance in the River in there too. That song (Sing Like the Saved) remains to be my favorite memories of you guys.

  • Hey I am from Nova Scotia Canada i found out through a friend of mine that you had a xanga site well it is cool to have you as apart of my xanga and to tell you the truth i don’t have a CD of yours but my brother do .He is in a band of his own named New Day Comeing !! They aren’t really well know yet but he has played in a few areas down in North Carolina where he is liveing now , i rember a while back in 2001 he played at a event in Newfoundland Canada called YC (Youth for Christ) and Tim Huges played there aswell and it is kinda funny Tim’s Gutair string broke in the middle of his playing time and so he asked Murray (my brother ) if he could play his gutair . Now Murray is all exsited that his gutair was played by Tim Huges hahaha which is cool and all !! Well you dont know me and according to your comments you have alot of them and mine may never be noticed but if so i hope you enjoy the read and how about an up date ?  Keep with Christ and keep useing your amazing talent that he gave to you !!
