one of the things i mentioned not too long ago came out today!
it would thrill me to know you purchased it. it is available here on itunes.
also it would help me a considerable amount if you could please rate your assessment of keanu’s competence as an actor. 1 – 10. 1 being incredibly inept. 10 being fantastically suited for his role in bill and ted’s excellent adventure.

i liked the ‘b collision’ ad in the latest issue of RELEVANT. i’m sure i’ll be adding it to my collection soon. oh, and… i give keanu a 3.
I was quite impressed with the first track of the record. Simple yet soulful. Keanu is a 7. He knows kung-fu.
nice. mr. reeves, not a big fan… but he did come out in a neat series of movies.
the album .. ( not to compare heh ) remmminds… me of sufjan… in the simplicity ( in a good way ) in some of the songs… i like. oh and kinda a johnny cash feel in the laziness ( in a good way ) of the vocal phrasing.
I would give him 6 at best. He was fantastically suited for Bill and Ted’s adventure, but the rest of the characters he has played in his career seem very similar. I perfer to see an actor who plays a wide range of roles, who can become a new person and stretch himself for a role.
I can’t wait to hear B Collision.

as a self-proclaimed movie conoisseur, i think that keanu started out “excellently” yet tried so hard to shake the ted image, which led to point break, which was a stepping stone to speed, which opened the doors to the keanu that we know today.. i think he’s come a loooong way, and is still as great as he was in excellent adventure.. i always wanted that movie, but still have yet to purchase.. i’d say a 9 all around.
gonna have to check out the new cd.. there should seriously be a track of you guys playin and jammin with shane on “how long”.. an extended version too.. absolutely incredible. i’d buy it.

remember that movie keanu did with patrick swayze called point blank.
all in all, not a bad film after all.
swayze gets a 9 for just being there.
keanu gets a 3 for playing the same character in the replacements.
just because he’s a bad actor doesn’t mean he’s cast in bad films.
the albums great, love the variant of collision.. keanu fits bill and ted perfectly, but i think overall he is an overrated actor. i’d score him about a 5 out of 10.

hello there david, im excited to pick up ur new cd. im sure itll be amazing. and as for keanu. um id hafta give him a hearty 3 at best. he on screen emotions are limited to furrowed brow serious keanu. to straight faced im talking normally keanu. sometimes he’ll smile. but thats an accident im sure. hes got as much acting depth as paul walker from fast and the furious. haha u should check out his band dogstar. k. goodbye!

Keanu gets a 6. If it werent for Sam Jackson gettin the snakes on a plane movie he probably could be even bigger. I was also wondering if you ever thougha bout coming to play in Oklahoma any time soon, there is a place in shawnee i lile to call baby Baylor, which most others refer to it as OBU, but any where in oklahoma would be fine. We love your heart here in the land of the red man.
i give Keanu a 6? iono, his voice is very monotone at times.

8…although I see Keanu as a one dimentional actor who can only play a few type of roles or characters, I praise him for taking chances and doing roles and movies that were different and ahead of their time. For instance, the Matrix writers originally wanted Will Smith to be Neo but he thought the story was too silly. Although he jumped on the comic book band wagon, I believed Constatine was a daring role in appealing to a mature comic audience. And A Scanner Darkly will revolutionize how movies will be made in the future. Keanu is a visionary.

As for Mr. Reeves. It’s bogus if he can’t keep a bus above 50. He gets a 4, but only for his work in Youngblood.

The pinicale of Keanu’s acting career had to have been the Bill and Teds most excellent adventure. Everything, yes even the matrix, he has done since a notch below. I think i may see his newest movie however as he seems to do his best when time travel is involved. BTW I am really grooving to B Collision. You my friend have still not reached your pinicale as the afore mentioned artist, if I am so bold as to call him that.

Wow! Listening to B Collision Now! It rocks! “I can teh angels singing”…. is very nostalgic for me.
Keanu is not my favorite at all.. however bill and ted is one of his better films. I would give him a 7 in that one. I do like some of his movies just not his acting skills!
1 – I think he can act. 10 – I think he has issues with picking the movie — but bill and ted’s might be the best one he’s done

I bought the album and love it. I had pre-ordered it and it didn’t come so I bought it on i tumes because I could not wait and wanted the bonus track. It is really really great. They penetrate deeper than anything I have heard in awhile. I love the stripped down versions of the songs. There just seems to be more emotion and power behind them. And I believe Keanu deserves a 10. Bill and Ted’s is genuinely excellent.

That’s a trick question, Mr. Crowder. Using those standards, there is no deviation between 1 and 10. 10 = 1 and 1 = 10. I believe when you look up inept in the dictionary it uses Ted Logan as an example. Thus I give him a 1 and a 10 and every number inbetween.
But I liked him in Speed.
Keanu is an amazing actor. Point break is one of his greatest. with bill & Teds and speed. Dont forget his softer side with a walk in the clouds and much ado about nothing. he also had an amazing role in the awesome movie parenthood. and you cant forget constantine. I would have to say with his versatility, he would be a 9.

By qualifying your question “his role in bill and ted’s excellent adventure.” I would have to say a 10. As far as playing a role with “emotion”, ah….Point Break was his pinnacle trading lines with the equally thespianistic (or is that spastic) Patrick Swayze (bleach blonde in this one).

Well, despite the fact that he really only has one facial expression (must have gotten a botox injection for that picture or something), he does do that expression/mood pretty well, so I’ll go with a 4.5.
I can’t wait to hear the CD; I should be getting it this afternoon. I read a comment that said it sounded a bit like Sufjan, which certainly makes me very eager to hear it (big fan of Sufjan). I loved your cover of O God, Where Are You Now? Fantastic stuff. Anyway, can’t wait to hear it!
I got B Collision today and love it! I read the inside, as I’ve become accustomed to doing with your CDs. As much as I love the CD, I think that the inside was the best part for me. I haven’t had to deal with the loss of a loved one to death in about 3 years, but life has shot me down on many occasion. Often times it seems that life could never be okay again, but God does always pulls through in the end. My pastor preached a sermon once entitled “A Tapestry of Grace” and talked about how everything that happens to us God takes and makes a tapestry, so in the end, when we can see the front, we can say that nothing bad has ever happened to us. It takes a lot to reassure that to me sometimes because of all that has happened to me. Your CD has made that easier. You’ve given me the extra assurance that everything will be all right by “Telling of how things will be ok. Regardless of how they seem right now. Something will follow. We are in sequence. And it just so happens we know the beginning and the end.” Thanks.

i did in fact happen to have a chance to get out and buy the new CD. i can’t tell you how much it warmed my heart to listen to the LIVE FROM KANSAS versions of Be Lifed and I Saw the Light because i live accross the street from where you played that concert and was in fact one of the attendees along with my family and several close friends. i think it was probobly one of the most beautiful group experienced i’ve ever shared in. thank you for the memories and especially for the huge smile they create whenever they are brought to mind.

keanu cannot be rated merely on acting ability, as the movies are so diverse. i’ll take three movies and rate him in all three.

Matrix: 5.5. Credit can only be given to the masterful acting of Mr. Fishburne and Mr. Weaving to explain Keanu’s huge success in this trilogy.

I’d have to say a 10… because he was perfectly suited for his role in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. That movie seemed to be written for him. Now, Speed, on the other hand, would lower him to about a 2. And as much as I’m a Matrix fan, I’d have to say he was about a 4 or a 5 in that one.
I can’t wait to get your new cd. Last week 6 people from my youth group (including me) went on a missions trip to Wyoming. We drove.. it took 6 1/2 hours, and for the majority of the time, we listened to “Collision.” It was really rad.
As for Keanu, he was a 9 in Bill and Ted (I lovet that movie..) I haven’t seen him in any other movies.

Haven’t seen the before mentioned movie about a house near a body of water.. But Keanu was good in the Speeds, I loved Constantine (was still sort of the Neo character though, just more bitter). I don’t think they could have picked a better actor to play Neo (Val Kilmer was the first choice!! Can you imagine that??) The Watcher was creepy, luckily he didn’t talk much in the film, Devil’s Advocate was awesome.. everything before that was subpar and what you would expect from the Bill and Ted star.. That air guitar totally rocked.. I gotta go buy the box set now..thanks.. I’d give him a 7.2 overall as an actor, a 10 for his acting ability in Bill and Ted’s.. he’s suited for that..

Hey awesome CD. I have listened to the tracks and they are great. Thanks for putting the live ones from Kansas on there. It was great to be reminded hoe great of a concert that was. I went to it with some of my friends. We had an awesome time together. It was one of the best nights with my friends I have spent with them. Your music is awesome, and I love listening to it. What you are doing is very powerful, and it’s a wonderful ministries.

Hey I enjoyed the longer version of Everybody Want to Go to Heaven…. About Keanu… He may suck, but I’ve only seen the Matrix movies and the Lake House. He fit in with the whole Matrix thing. Lake House, well, he cried okay for the first 75% of his crying scene. Then he kind of blew it. One question though, aren’t one and ten the same rating? Do you really have to be a good actor to have been in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure?

As to Keanu being the reason i enjoyed them as much as i did, i am not sure. perhaps i would have enjoyed them more if someone else had been in his role….then again, i may have ejoyed them less then….i am not sure. i guess, in the interest of being fair and not saying that someone isn’t good enough when perhaps he is, i shal give him an even 5.

I must say, I’m somewhat disapointed that Do Not Move is only on the iTunes version of the album. Yes, I use iTunes (though only since getting a mac), but I don’t purchase albums that way (for several reasons).

I bought B Collision yesterday and listened to it several times… at least 7… I was especially pleased when I “..officially reached the bluegrass section…”, although the album, itself, is the eschatology of bluegrass…
I’ll be seeing you and your band in concert for the first time at King’s Fest… I can’t wait!
As for Keanu, he definitely deserves a 10…. no other person could be better suited for that role.

I bought two copies of “B-Collision”. One for personal viewing pleasure the other I framed on my wall right beside A Collision. I am thinking a “See Collision” would be a cool next title, eh.

Oh my gosh. I absolutely love the B Collision version of A Beautiful Collision. Absolutely amazing. The banjo, silly as it may sound, just makes it sound so perfect. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! (I’m listening to it right now.) I’d definitely love to hear more banjo music like that from y’all.

Lake House wasn’t as good as the original. But how many things beat the real thing? There’s something innocent about Keanu so it works for this movie. Perhaps it works for girls. Not boys.

I must say, my wife and I went and watched Lake House this afternoon, partly by your encouragement through discussion of Keanu. I must say, I think he is a pretty dang good actor myself, but I’m no expert. I’m probably one of the few who enjoyed and understood all 3 Matrix films as well as his character in them. I’m not sure if that doesn’t make my testimony invalid b’c I’m crazy. But my verdict is that you should convict him for good acting, for whatever it’s worth.
Got your CD today, my wife deemed it anniversarific (worthy to be an anniversary present.) I’ll will listen to it promptly after I send this as I cannot multitask well.

I loved the album, musically it was extravagant and ientertaining, but more so, the way you all think through these things inspires me, the thought and theology, and the personal thoughts in this record make me want to make music that will make me sing from the soul, i cant thank you and the band for the effect you have had on me, as a person, and how i veiw worship, life and GOD, As for Mr. Reaves a 5 out of ten he did make amazing films, such as bill and teds excellent adventure, and must be awarded for the action he performed in the matrix, but his overall acting is sub- par, later

I can’t stop listening to the album…especially Beautiful Collision, and more specifically the chorus. The tone and mood seem so different than the original release. Both are amazing, but it is refreshing to hear a song remade and it still be incredible. To tell you the truth, I have never seen Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure and thats a tragedy. B Collision is interesting. Ive been listening to it a lot lately and Ive been sharing it with my friends. I recently listened to the audio from Kyle’s funeral and read the manuscript from his last sermon and read in the CT inerview how he was instrumental in shaping the Collisions (BTW, thanks for opening up and being so real and honest in that interview and when I saw you guys in Athens on 10/31). Man, I knew he was incredibly gifted, but I had no idea. It wasnt until Mike Yac’s passing that I got interested in YS stuff and his writings and now Im really interested in Kyle’s writings. Kyle answered an email I sent him around this time last year and that answer has really shaped my outlook on ministry. Thanks for sharing and I cant wait for the new book to come out!
PS. In our church staff meeting on Monday, I started poking the Senior Pastor during a tense moment. He has no idea why.

Got the CD and clappin on the chuck!
i purchased the B Collision. And being the Afro-American that I am, I was skeptical as to how my 2-4 timing would hold up against of the bluegrass “boom-chuck.” But I knew that brother Crowder would deliver. My faith proved uhhh… faithful. These songs grew on me quickly. Love what you guys did on the B Collision. Thanks for being original.
I just bought B Collision. I’m only about halfway through the CD right now, but I’ve been VERY impressed with it. The subtle changes and overall flavor of the album is very aptly done.
I like it because it brings to light things that A Collision didn’t in a way that I haven’t heard in any music in a long time.

the cd’s great. it takes the world of bluegrass by storm. hmm, keanu reaves gets about a 6. i say this because “bill and ted” was phenominal, the matrix was a good “i-don’t-get-it-sci-fi” movie, but unfortuneatly, it’s a miracle if you can spell his name right without second looking at it, so he has not quite acheived anything up there with robert redford, kevin costner, or dustin diamond (aka screech).

keanu is an ok actor so I would rate him between a 4 and a 5. Some of his roles were better than most.
My friends and I have this saying about Keanu… he has a 5-word limit before he starts sounding, well… unintelligent. If he keeps his script lines to under 5 words, he’s in the clear. If not… beware of what is said…
