  • the hunt

well, i am happy to report that the first two sites were semi successful. by “semi,” i mean that the items that were left did not arrive in time for the first exhuberent seekers. and this makes me sad. i was able to remedy (no pun intended) this in a couple of cases myself but it really bummed me out. those most excited would have been the first to arrive i suspect, and to be greeted with cluelessness is most unfortunate. we are making great effort to ensure this doesn’t happen at the remaining sites. as well, i trust those who have acquired what was left, will share.

    5 sites remaining!

in addition, it was great meeting many of you at a few of the stops so far this summer.

  • thanks for the prop. that was unbelievably expeditious!

  • And I suppose I get second to prop!

Moshing? Some form of duck hunting with giant black barrels?

  • Okay, this may be totally off topic, but I am SOOOO excited about Creation this coming week!

Can’t wait to see you there!

    ciao =)

  • ElvshRckr,
i’m thrilled about creation too. we’ll see you there!

  • so what was there?

  • hey dave! I’m confused- went to the Harvest Crusade thing – which guitarist was that? he doesn’t look like Mark Waldrop.  Also, my friend Troy told me about when he pretended to be a rockstar when he met ya’ll at the Cheesecake Factory at the mall on Friday.  He wasn’t really pretending.  .. ;)

I was just thinking, as you were playing, how amazing heaven will be.  How people won’t be separated by the distances of stages, and we won’t have to raise our voices so loudly – God will be right there, and yet the roar will resound with the sheer numbers of people.  And then the new heavens and the new earth … redeemed music.  How amazing will that be!

  • see you guys at creation!! happy travels :)

  • hey! thats a nice sign you’ve got there. =]

  • It was very nice meeting you in Paducah last week.  And thank you for attempting to take a “normal” pic and a “silly” pic.

  • Thanks for meeting us after Harvest Fest. All my friends have seen the picture on facebook that i took with you and my wall is filled with nothing but “you did it”, “i wish i was with you”, “i’m so jealous”, congratulations”, etc. etc…..you would have thought i got engaged….it was that BIG of a deal….haha :)

  • EYPUFF,
well, unfortunately i can’t say as there are still 5 more opportunities. there is another way to get something very similar as to what is being left at the 7 places, but it is more difficult as there are no clues really.

  • StirTheStars,
    you have inspiring words.

and yes, that was mark waldrop. i’ll pass it along to him that he’s not looking much like himself.

  • Rockstar4Christ,

great meeting you as well. glad i heard you guys yelling!

  • i just went through y’all’s remedyiscoming.com segment, and wowzers. a friend of mine was actually asking about this the other day. we were sitting there, eating our respective baked goods (a doughnut for her, a bagel for me) and as we were talking about your music we started wondering what other interests y’all have. gas shortage, environment, social justice, things like that. so now i’ll have to tell her dc*b is very globally minded.

  • i cant wait til you guys come to the fillmore here in san francisco come october…im sure it will be an incredible show!

  • Crowder, you’re amazing!  When are you gonna write another book?

  • arg i’m omw dave!!!

  • mr crowder, i love your shoes!

    eprop

  • In my opinion, your performace last Wednesday was one of the best at the festival.

  • Can not wait for the cd.  I hope there will be an itunes EP.

Crowder, what are you reading lately?

  • Hey David Crowder Band..I went to the Harvest Crusade in Raleigh last weekend, where was the Nuge?
I think you guys are incredible, and “A Collision” is the most well thought out and roller coaster ride (but in a good way) albums of the past 10 years. The mind-blowing (one of my most descriptive words) musicianship that went into it is much appreciated. I can’t way for your next album.

  • Mr. Crowder,

Thank you for creating creative new music that glorifies God! Ive been looking forward to cornerstone all summer, but do to my fiance starting a new job we can’t go. And due to our wedding on July 21st we can’t see you in Shamburg either. Sadness.

I’m really bummed about not getting to figure out this whole puzzle mystery thing you got going on!!

  • it was great meeting you as well.

i paid forty dollars to come to alive for one day just to see you. well, and edison glass.

  • yay! youre coming to NY!

  • mr crowder, methinks you and co. should pull an arcade fire and perform an impromptu acoustic jam concert at union square in nyc at 1 in the morning.

  • you are amazing david. i met you last week and you were everything i expected..thank you for being glory to our God. :)

  • david..you are amazing. i met you last week at paducah and you were everything i expected. completely nice and calm in the huge crowd of people pushing to meet you. thank you for your awesome music and using it to glorify God! :)

  • hum. i posted twice. whoops:)

  • Twice is now thrice! Thrice is nice. I like buttered rice?

Anyways, dc*b is a wonderful voice for God. And if you guys (dc*b) feel led to sing next summer, I know of a conference for you to sing at!

And shouts of praise were heard. Possibly.

  • Hey Crowder… I am quite bummed I didn’t get to see you at Collide (postponed), but I am looking forward to seeing you in San Antonio in October.  I do have one question… will there be a bluegrass portion of the show, even though this is the “Remedy” tour?

  • I have 1 small question. How, in the world, do you handle all these comments?

  • Sadly, I’m still fantastically perplexed by this hunt of yours David. Perhaps I’ll be able to join in the excitement when you come back to Atlanta.

  • aspiring_musician,
    you are very kind.

  • transport_planner,
currently i’m reading three books: reading like a writer, the elements of style, and the accidental.

  • bigpirate64,
    yes.

  • Anonymous_Voice,
well, for a while now not much of anything. i’m giving this a try – responding in the comment section. we’ll see how it goes.

  • Just giving thanks for making great music that is musically original and glorifies God so beautifully.
Your work is a huge blessing!

  • Amazing… simply amazing. I didn’t think you could get any better, Crowder. Obviously I was wrong. A treasure hunt at summer festivals? What a grand idea!

    See you in October. :)

  • will you promise me…PROMISE ME that you’ll sing many many songs? i’m hearing that you’re going to have 2 opening bands on the “rememdy” tour. i was so glad to see you when you toured with Third Day, but so bummed because you only played 5 or 6 six songs (?) too few regardless of the actual count. just hoping for about 2 hours worth from dc*b…do i ask too much?

  • two comments on one entry, i know, a little bit of a faux pas on my part, but i was just a tad curious… is it safe to assume you’re a Sufjan Stevens fan? If so…how do you pronounce his name?

  • Awesome.  I will be looking forward to it, and I will bring my straw hat.

  • I must concur with my colleague jaziz, the Philmore will be the greatest performance of all time.

    DC*B for pres, ’08

  • Mr. Crowder,

Do you remember the kid at the alive festival who had you and your band sign a rock?  That was me.  if you remember me could you leave me a myspace comment.  My URL is myspace.com/blink304 .  Pleasure to meet you and keep the amazing worship songs coming!

    Ted (Rock Boy)

  • David!

I was talking to my brother and he met you in Tulsa International Airport in May. He was heading to Chicago and came up and talked to you. I wish I were that lucky.

How is your partner? Is he over his “plague”?

Keep up all the good work.

Your music rocks and I am buying Remedy as soon as I see it out! :)
    God Bless

  • Can’t wait to see you guys in Cincinnati it’s gonna be sa-weet. I do have one request though, will you guys bring the Nuge with you? That would rock hard core.

  • hey mr. crowder,

you came to palo duro canyon in the panhandle of texas a while back. how do you like the panhandle? do you consider yourself capable of being an oil-tycoon?

  • I’m so ill, I wish this “hunt” was in our area, I’m going to miss it!!! Still wish everyone who is getting in on it to “have fun”!

Have been dying to see a post from you, David. So enjoyed the Chattanooga show, the granddaughters are still in a lather from getting to meet you & have pics before the show. I’m getting all of your c.d.s for them, they sing along with you all the time. Come back soon!!!

  • hey david – in keeping with your squirrel theme I thought you’d like this:

Neatorama » Blog Archive » Squirrels Torch Man’s House. Twice.

  • hey david,

in keeping with the evil squirrel theme i thought you’d appreciate this:

Neatorama » Blog Archive » Squirrels Torch Man’s House. Twice.

  • Haha, that blog entry is entertaining.

Dave, I cannot wait ’til your new album, I am definitely pre-ordering it or buying it the day it comes out. Perhaps both if I pre-order it, and it doesn’t arrive in the mail soon enough. =D Hopefully you’ll have some sort of bonus material that I’ll get out of it.

I hope I can get to see you on your tour sometime. Time will tell.

  • Janiece1,

yes, we shall make the music for many minutes! there will still be plenty of time even with the opening bands. it will be a historic evening without a doubt.

  • the_writers_block,

    yes. SOOF-yan.

  • dear Ted (rock boy),

i went to try and comment on your myspace but you are not our friend. sorry. you should be our friend. and yes, thank you for letting us sign your rock.

  • soonersfan4life,

hogan is looking much better now. thanks for asking. we’re still all using hand sanitizer like crazy though!

  • hey dave. this doesn’t exactly pertain to the hunt of the ages, but i must ask – are you getting an iphone?

  • Does the phrase “CYFI 7.0″ have anything to do with the hunt or prize? I have a hunch that it might.

  • My daughter’s friend’s parents saw you at Cornerstone this weekend for the first time. They said you were awesome. Just three weeks now until Ignite Chicago! Woo hoo! I’m counting down the days!

  • I got a golden ticket! Well not a golden ticket but let me tell you, the hunt is worth it!

  • goldphishphur,

i will not be getting the iphone this time around as i would prefer to wait on the price to come down and any issues that present themselves to be worked out. they sure do look nice though.

  • Curlynose,

hmmm. you have found a piece that i suspect few will find. hope it is pleasing.

  • I just saw you guys at Creation…amazing. You guys are great. The worship was so sweet and the presence of the Spirit was all over that arena.

Oh, and the Guitar Hero? Frickin’ awesome. That’s all there is to it.

  • You guys were among my fav acts at Creation this year!! Guitar hero and Newsboys’ drum war are at the top of the list! We had a guy at Messiah College play coffeehouse with a guitar hero guitar, but it was definitely not as cool as yours since it made no sound. so he just looked ridiculous. but you guys definitely had the Spirit rocking out in that arena!! Hope to see you again soon!

  • I just want you to know that I was able to acquire myself some remedy from your secondary source. Or at least one of them. Knowing you guys, there are about 14 other things to find. I was quite to surprised to have figured one of your little games out. Don’t worry though, secret is safe with me.

This little piece of remedy that I have is blowing my mind right now.

On a side note, just want you to know, that I work at a bookstore and when we get your CD early, and when it is sitting there in the back waiting to be consumed by the public, I will do my best to obey the rules and wait, as opposed to taking a copy home early and paying for it at a later date.

Unless you would be cool with that ha ha. Doubt it. I will do my best.

    With Love

    Steve

  • Hey Dave!  This was a really long time ago, but do you remember coming to So Cal back in February of 2003 for a Passion Youth event?  You signed a comic book that I got for my friend in this one backyard while we were having lunch.  I thought that was pretty awesome, thanks!  My friend liked it a lot too!  I hope to see you guys again soon and I can’t wait for Remedy!

  • EdDie_FroM_Da_HoOD,

actually i do remember this as i have a fantastic memory for backyards. it was at a chruch in artesia i believe.

  • i’ve got to say, through all the times i’ve seen you perform live, your band is just getting better and better at it.
    keep on rockin’!

    jen

  • I am liking this “indirect” conversations and comments. Puts some personality, although a big xanga no no is commenting on your own Xanga site. Lol. I understand if you didn’t, you would have tooo many personal notes and too many other sites to go to.

  • hey crowder, i didnt know you actually read these comments! well anyways, your performance at creation was awesome. thanks for making me dance with the strangers next to me.

  • Is there anywhere to pre-order Remedy yet? (Or any way to preview Remedy other than jumping from YouTube clips?) Can’t wait to see what you have come up with for this one!
