  • apparently i went pro on a fellow xangan’s wii. this is his mii which is me:

    bowler

in other related news, hogan’s wife sent him this a couple of days ago, and he in turn sent it to me:

    crowdersimpson

in this last rendering, my favorite bit is the mild stash, as this is incredibly accurate; owing to my lack of vigilant shaving habits. i.e.: what is up with my upper lip in my may 30 post?

update: this just in from theyoyoman:

    i blow me away.

  • i like, and i understand the lack of shaving habbits.

  • Looks just like ya.

  •  Both are very accurate depictions of you . The second one kinda reminds me of Shane …… must be the SMILE !

  • shaving is enjoyable. you should try it more often.

  • I’m not gonna lie man, my mii of you was way more accurate. I wish I hadn’t sold my wii. I would have showed you, heh. Oh well. Rock and roll and thanks for the non-festival remedy! It’s joyful to my ears. Sneaky sneaky, sir.

  • ahahahaha that’s so funny…except you look more 3D than they do…

  • looks great! hahaha

  • those totally look like you! my simpson and mii really look like me, too.

  • all your little wii man needs is a retro track jacket and you’re all set.

im sure there’s a SIM out there that would be accurate.

How about the fact that Harry Potter is in less than 72 hours?! =)

    Creation was awesome!

    ciao

  • Are you making a cameo appearance in The Simpsons Movie? : P

  • If you shave more now, then it’ll just grow back faster, later. Well, that was my philosophy.

    God bless,
    ~Scott

  • Of course the Wii version of you went pro.  Silly Crowder….

  • dear david and band,
im not sure if you’ll have the time to read this, but i just wanted to share an encouraging story of what happened to me today
and your song “Wholly Yours” has a huge part of it. so i thought id share :)

im from boston and a few friends and i went down to atlanta for passion07 and i got blessed like crazy and i was extremely excited to hear
that the unreached city tour will be coming to boston.  after louie spoke on how passion needs to raise funds to go around the world i was
soo convicted. seeing the do it now campaign and how God is using college students in SUCH powerful ways to change the world. it was amazing
to see and i decided i wanted to do something to be a part of it.

this summer i requested the promotional material for passion and i decided to go out into the boston commons with my guitar and sort of ”street perform”….
every sunday when the weather is nice the boston commons a huge tourist spot and a big place where
families love to go on walks and enjoy the weather/scenery in the middle
of boston.  it is usually also littered with differnet people playing their instruments, acting, doing acapella, etc etc u get the picture.

so i thought hey! what a great opportunity… so today was the day.
i went out with my guitar expecting to make maybe like 2 dollars in pennies
haha. turns out the holy spirit was there with me making it quite a memorable experience.
i opened up my case of course and layed out all the passion posters/flyers that i received in the mail and started to play. after playing a hand full of songs by hillsong, chris tomlin, and some ive written on my own. i decided to play “wholly yours” cause i love the song. as soon as i started playing it seemed like more people came by and  a lot more people started donating money dropping loose chain or dollar bills into my guitar case.

after an hour or so playing different songs and taking a break. i decided to play wholly yours again…and strangely people started walking by and dropping in their donations. i thought it was a funny coincidence because it seemed like whenever i played that song more people came and donated…
some friends came visiting me not too long after and i told them how i thought it was funny that every time i played your song, that people seemed to come by and give money.  so to my friends request i started play wholly yours for the third time.

and you guessed it…haha as soon as i started playing a man came by a dropped in a dollar bill and a few other people came by and even stopped to have a quick conversation with my friends.

so maybe its just a big coincidence, but i thought it was a fun experience and i began to think that the words in the song especially the end
“i am wholly wholly wholly yours”  is something that God really wanted to put on my heart. that it would be my prayer to sing and cry out that
    “God I am wholly yours”

and my prayer is that God would bring revival to the city of Boston and all of new england. that we would be a people singing out “God we are wholly yours”

anyways thanks for the song, for all your great music, and for working hard for Christ and His kingdom.
    hopefully see you soon

    -danny

  • LOL!!!! =)

my mii is Josh Groban ;]

  • both are incredibly close to the real thing. =p

  • haha, that picture from may is hilarious

how was that “celebration of all that is good in the world” festival in early june?

  • ahhh the dirty frenchman look.
    classic.

  • wow that mii really looks like you. awesome.

  • Now I’ve got to make a Davide Crowder character on my Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 game! I could put you in a steel cage match with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

  • that is too good. although sad to say this, i will destroy your mii in wii bowling.

  • i like your lack of non shaving habits..its makes you..you!:)

  • Pretty dang awesome David.

  • I like the looks.

  • it’s like … sideshow david

  • how about the complete lack of an upper lip on your may 17th movie?

  • good seeing you again at Kingsfest, thanks adding the picture on the site!
    *CROWDER POWER*

  • those glasses on the mii are ace.

  • nice! you any good at wii bowling by any chance?

  • yep. that’s you for sure. haha. what’s it like having yourself Simpson-ized?

  • Well…if you’ve got crazy hair on your head…and a crazy goatee…what’s a bit more hair on your upper lip? I would say you can afford to not be a dilligent shaver and *whisper* they’ll never even know! :)

  • that is the greatest!

  • hi david crowder :D that’s from my church friend’s Wii! next to the name (foo) you can see the word [PRO]. that’s not part of the original name and he has used your Mii many times to get you to the [PRO] rating! i’m glad this is on your xanga =] he LOVES bowling

  • rawr, that’s my Mii! Awesome!

Your bowling high score is a 277. Actually, your best sport right now is tennis, but you’re getting better at boxing. You became a pro boxer a week or two ago!

  • Haha, I actually have a Flickr photo of that proud 277 moment!

  • Apparantly you are a fantastic bowler.  I am impressed.

  • HEY DCB,

You are playing for me (and thousands of my closest friends!) tomorrow in Wisconsin. I CAN’T WAIT!!!  Can I make a request for Open Skies? Well, you may already have your set planned, and you don’t have to listen to some insignificant xanga person like me…but if you could…it would really mean a lot….

Anyway, thanks for coming this far north to visit us. We northerners need some DCB! Come again soon!!!!  We love you and your passion to worship our Lord!!!!

  • do you play madden?

  • Hey!  What do you know! We have a David Crowder Mii too!

looks like you’re hanging out with Conan in that picture. nice.

  • Oh, I’m so excited – you have a Xanga site!  Oh, joy!

Mmmkay, that’s all.  Just wanted to let you know.

Loved your concert at Creation NE this year (as always!).  Thanks for doing what you do and giving God the praise!

  • random question: what’s your opinion on the polyphonic spree? i know they’re from dallas, and i’ve been watching them on several different tv appearances lately (directv concerts and one episode of “scrubs”) and i’ve grow quite fond of their quirky, experimental orchestrock. so, how ’bout it? yay or nay on the spree?

  • HEY! You played Open Skies- even with a little remix which is personally my fave! Yall ROCK!!!  Thanks for a great show at Lifest last night!!! You have such a great stage presence, I love your music, I love the worshipful lyrics and you’re just a bunch of fun!!  May God continue to bless your ministry!!!  Come back to Wisconsin!!!

  • Very impressive that you are so multi-talented.  An excellent vocalist, song writer, guitar player, and now a pro bowler.  Wow!  Can’t wait to see you at Ignite Chicago–9 days to go!

  • i heard “everything glorious” on the radio today. it blew me away. i sat there in awe while listening to it. i love the song! i can’t wait for your remedy release!

  • Hey David, I hope from the picture that you remember me from Spirit Song. You truly did bless me there, the fact that I couldn’t get the picture and that was the only thing I was wanting to do did dissapoint me a bit, so thanks for allowing that to happen. Know that I’ve been praying for you since then – that God would allow you to be comfortable and able to keep going while touring and traveling from place to place.

I’d love to hear from you… http://teresayw.blogspot.com/ (I don’t write on xanga.. only to comment on friends writings.)

too bad your crowder wasn’t a little longer on the wii.

  • i’m moving to waco to go to grad school at baylor.. woot. i’m excited.. mayhaps i’ll meet you and you’ll meet me.

  • just want to say congrats on an awesome show at Nazarene Youth Connection. I’m not nazarene, so i didn’t go, but a few of my friends (who had never heard of you guys) were there and came back with a healthy admiration and (dare i say) enjoyment of bluegrass… so thank you.

on another note, i am REALLY excited about seeing you guys at Desperation Youth Conference in Colorado Springs this weekend = )

  • hey, i TOTALLY played wii bowling like yesterday, but i totally sucked at it. i was so much better ar baseball.

    Blessings…

    Teresa

  • you crack me up man… keep on rockin like a hurricane… God Bless!

  • WOOHOO!!!  I pre-ordered Remedy!!  What’s “(will delay other items in shipment)” mean?

  • By the way, last night I borrowed “Praise Habit” from a friend of mine. It’s good stuff, friend. (I did just call you that… why not?) In the 2 days I’ve been reading I’m nearly on page 70 and have loved your vunerability, your heart for God, your random-ness, *grin* and some of the things that you’ve shared that are personal or from your past (I might mention the ones I especially like in depth later.)

But, I did want to ask you, is the reference to the passages in Psalms from The Message Bible? When I read those and then read them in my NIV Bible they honestly didn’t sound alike – some of the differences in the passages left my jaw dropping. I’m just asking if that is the translation you use/used, because to me it seemed like a lot of the wording was just to try to make Jesus more “presentable” to us or more “relatable.”

I’m just wondering… I hope I’m not coming across as being rude because I’m not trying to be that way… just when I read that translation, whatever it may be, it did seem different.

Sorry if I am being rude or if I’ve offended you, I don’t want to do that all – I’m just wondering. Let me know if I’ve come across that way at all.

The book is good friend! :)
